Leaving Europe

We left Norway an early Sunday morning on April 11-th.
We first landed in Amsterdam and had 5 hours to wait for the next plane to America. Instead of waiting at the air port, we decided to take a short trip to the city.

Amsterdam was nice, but freezing! There was garbage on the streets, because the day before was Saturday, and on that day people normally party. After a few hours we left from the city and went to the airport. The flight to America took 7 ½ hours, but each of us had his own DVD-player where one could choose between many different movies.

And now we are finally in Washington DC where the spring is flowering up! It was 25 degrees today!

Close to The White House, there are green parks. Squirrels were going nuts in the parks :) They were almost tame and were jumping around all over.

There were many important buildings in The National Mall. We visited the Lincoln Memorial.
